Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Damn polls!

Just my luck.

I spent much of my first two days on this blog predicting with great confidence a smashing victory for Barack Obama in the New Hampshire Democratic presidential primary.

I also passed along the buzz about Hillary Clinton’s candidacy hanging by a thread.

Such were the indications from the polls, the pundits and the other great seers in our political world. Those indications, it turns out,  were wrong.

But, on the bright side, the nominations in both parties are now up for grabs among a total of six, maybe seven, potential winners, which means the season’s going to be that much more fun for us political junkies.

Then again, both nominations still might be decided by the time all the votes are counted on Super Duper Tuesday, Feb. 5, when 22 states will hold primaries.
