ABC News misquotes Bill Clinton

It’s one thing for campaign partisans to misquote or otherwise misrepresent a rival, but it’s especially outrageous when a so-called respectable news shop does it.
Take the case of ABC News, which has quoted Bill Clinton out of context to make it appear that he favors a slow-down of the U.S. economy to help fight global warming.
Steve Benen has details HERE.

Who I’m for has got nothing to do with it. I just think it’s wrong for a network (or any news shop) to misrepresent any politician’s remarks by quoting them out of context. John McCain has done the same thing to Mitt Romney with regard to that stuff about withdrawal timetables in the Iraq war. In the Clinton case, the offense is especially egregious. And the culprit is Jake Tapper. He’s a terrible reporter.
