Former U.S. Senator and 1996 Republican presidential nominee Bob Dole has written to Rush Limbaugh, asking him to PUT A LID ON THE VITRIOL against John McCain.
Limbaugh and other prominent members of the the GOP’s hard-right wing are suffering mass apoplexy over the likely prospect that the insufficiently conservative McCain will be the party’s standard-bearer this year.

I favor Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination, but I almost hope that I’ll have a chance to vote for the former first lady in November — just to defy the most rabid Hillary haters.
What a weird bunch these people are.

The people who hold such opinions are easy to spot: They all wear tinfoil hats.
