One of Mr. Straight Talk’s top aides says the nomination is MATHEMATICALLY IN THE BAG.
Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

Democratic primary voting in Wisconsin on Feb. 19 could be CRUCIAL in the race between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

They’re still sorting out the apportionment of Democratic delegates from Super Tuesday, but it looks now like Barack OBAMA WILL COME OUT AHEAD of Hillary Clinton.
Moreover, although Hillary won such big states as California, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey, her total tally of votes (according to THIS estimate) was less than one-half of one percent higher than the figure for Obama, who won 13 states.
The race is virtually tied, but the momentum is with Obama.Â
UPDATE: Pollster John Zogby SAYS Obama would do better against John McCain than Hillary would.
UPDATE: THIS GUY says Obama is now  a “prohibitive favorite” to win the nomination.
