John McCain in his own words

Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

McCain sound bytes don’t sound so bad to me….Maybe after 6 more months of reading Pat’s blog, even I will begin to get a Chris Matthews twinge going up and down my leg for Obama…but I doubt it….I fail to see the issues presented in the video. I know I don’t have Pat’s incredible intellect, but when fuel prices hit 4.50 a gallon this summer, you’ll be agreeable to sending more troops to the middle east for stability instead of sending them all home.

Oh, yeah. More troops will bring gas prices down. Sure.

Start of Iraq War: March 2003. Gas prices in March 2003: $1.70 a gallon. Gas prices today, after nearly five years of troops in the middle east: more than $3 a gallon. How has having troops over there helped us with gas prices?
