Right-wingers all across the fruited plain have faulted Barack Obama for having said last week that our troops in Afghanistan are stretched too thin and insufficiently supplied.
These wingnuts get their heads handed to them in THIS PIECE (warning: the language is quite blue).

For those whose sense of history starts and ends in the 60’s, our troops were stretched too thin and insufficiently supplied at Yorktown, Shiloh, the Ardennes, the Battle of the Bulge, the Chosin Reservoir etc.It was always thus.

Ah, but did the chickenhawks of the 1770s and ’80s come up with pseudo-patriotic bilge to counter complaints about the army’s problems? Our troop shortages wouldn’t be quite so severe if Bush’s and Cheney’s daughters and Romney’s five sons and the offspring of the other Republican warmongers would serve in their nation’s glorious military adventure.

What’s your guess Pat? More sons and daughters of Republicans or Democrats serving in the military? Tell you what. You progressives are such strong supporters of the military how about letting this next election be settled just with the votes of the military. What do you think Pat? I’d be willing.

And if you use John Kerry’s platform 4 years ago…..McCain is the only candidate who has actually served in the military, therefore being the most qualified. And I seem to recall that Obama wants to hunt his uncle Osama down in Pakistan..what a warmonger he will turn out to be.
