Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

You forgot to add the fact that immigrants are most likely to vote democratic.

And where did you get that fact? Seriously, where?

I’d like to see a comprehensive study on the net economic effect of illegal immigration in this country. Several years ago Time Magazine did a pretty thorough investigative story on the subject and had some convincing data that the net effect was positive. Is that still the case or not? Both sides on this issue need to examine the numbers and not just guess.
Oklahoma has instituted very tough measures against illegals and they have been leaving that state in droves. At least on Republican congressman from Oklahoma has been working against these measures, saying it’s going to be very damaging economically to his state.
