Of course that picture would NEVER appear in the New York Times because it is truthful and relevant. What’s the big deal here. He actually wore it in Kenya…I think it’s great! He’s wearing more clothes than that speedo running down the beach.

Kaus: There are times when I have no idea where you’re coming from. What does The New York Times have to do with this? What do you mean by “relevant”? The “big deal,” as you call it, is that a photo like this plays into the theory (popular among knuckledraggers) that Obama is a Muslim. And, golly whiz, I hear from Rush Limbaugh that Obama’s middle name is Hussein. That makes him a terrorist, doesn’t it? That’s what the old farts down at the coffee shop are saying.

But….HE ACTUALLY WORE IT!!! It is real news! Not made up news like that McCain story in the NYT. Pat, what is wrong with loving the Muslim faith or at least respecting it? As long as it isn’t the Christian faith you seem to be bashing, I would think this is a positive about Obama. His father WAS muslim, and he went to a madras as a youngster…get over it. He will most certainly be against FISA won’t he!

Oh no! I just see where Louis F from the Nation of Isam is endorsing Obama….how embarassing! The muslim garb, Nation of Islam….is Clinton behind this endorsement too? Love one another Pat…black, white, Christian, Muslim…..appologize to all informed Muslims now.

Hilliary has gotten desparate and extremely negative. But Obama should just laugh it off and stay above it. He should not be getting negative about her in retaliation because that makes him look petty too.

Obama should embrace the fact that he is interested in all nations whether it was muslim dress or not and use it to his advantage. Hillary is very offensive, racist, and 2-faced with thinking this should damage Obama. But this whole episode confuses what the face of the Democratic party is. Is it tough on terrorism, or soft. Is it pro immigrant or not? Is it open to all religions or not? What is it?
