Comments on: GOP memo to Tennessee intellectuals

Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don't say you weren't warned. By the way, this blog's name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, "All politics is applesauce."

Hoke: When I referred to the Tennessee Republican Party's "constituents," I meant the party rank-and-file.

Kaus: The truth of the material in the GOP piece is not the point. The point is that this is a thinly-veiled racist appeal to dimwits. Young Al Gore got elected in Tennessee because his dad, old Al Gore, served before him and reliably voted the segregationist line. (Oh, young Al Gore also won the popular vote in the 2000 presidential election. Remember?)

Did Louis F. endorse Obama....check
Is Louis an anti semite.....check
Did Obama wear native Sumali garb....check

These aren't lies. They aren't made up fairy tales. I'm sure the Daily Kos will straighten out all those uneducated Tennessee people you just offended....severly. I believe Al Gore served in Tennessee didn't he?

Isn't possible that it's not the constituents in TN that are a little less sophisticated, but rather the TN GOP party hacks?
Just wait Pat, you'll see the same type of sludge here in IL before this election is over. From both parties.
