Social Security myths die hard
March 5th, 2008 at 08:24am Pat Cunningham
A regular reader of Applesauce opined in a comment the other day that the Social Security system is an “unsustainable Ponzi scheme.”
In response to such nonsense, I refer HERE to a piece by economist Paul Krugman published four years ago today (coincidentally). The points made therein are still valid.

Sadly, working for a living and being out of pocket for the next week and a half makes it impossible to properly respond to Mr. Krugman’s drivel.
Enjoy the break from yours truly Pat.

Paul Krugman appears to be brilliant and has a brilliant resume. Of course he is out there alone among the economy experts. He is a renegade and a true liberal Billary supporter. Perhaps we should give him a chance to prove wrong his hypothetical arguments and then roast him over the republican fire pit. Pat, are you willing to risk your retirement funds? Wouldn’t you perfer to have a massive 401k plan like me instead? Pat, I have room in my massive house for you when you can no longer support yourself….signed your biggest fan.
