According to the National Beer Wholesalers Association, more Americans, by a wide margin, would prefer to QUAFF A FEW with Barack Obama than with John McCain or Hillary Clinton.
Interestingly, Bill Clinton is the leading choice from among all presidents, living or dead. John Kennedy is second.

That’s what happened, according to THIS GUY.

Â
Wow! New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, a Democrat, is expected to make a statement this afternoon about his involvement in a high-priced prostitution ring.
HERE’s what we know at this point.
UPDATE: There’s more HEREÂ about the hooker ring in question.
UPDATE II: Hey, Hillary. There’s going to be an executive post opening soon in Albany. You should be able to swing the appointment. That would allow you to bow out of the presidential race with dignity. Go for it.
UPDATE III: THIS is just one of dozens of blog posts in recent weeks suggesting that Eliot Spitzer might make a good running mate for Barack Obama. I guess we can scratch that idea, huh?
UPDATE IV: THIS GUY says good riddance to Spitzer.
UPDATE V: THISÂ is how the feds sniffed out Spitzer’s trail to the prostitution ring (allegedly, of course).

Last week, I said HERE that I had my doubts about whether the Democrats would end up with a presidential ticket that includes both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Well, now I’m here to tell you that it definitely won’t happen.Â
Yes, Hillary’s floating the idea every other day in a desperate ploy to catch up with Obama in the quest for convention delegates. She’s trying to tell people that a vote for her in any of the remaining primaries is tantamount to a vote for Obama as well.
In effect, she’s offering the second spot on the ticket to the guy who’s ahead of her in the race for the first spot. How gracious of her.
The problem is that Obama would never accept the second spot. He’d be a fool to do that. Besides, it is highly unlikely that she’ll be a position to offer it.  And it would be even more foolish for him to offer the second spot to her. Why would he saddle himself with a running mate whose mere presence on the ticket would energize  the loony right wing of the Republican Party even more than he would?
More thoughts on this matter can be found HERE and HERE and HERE.
UPDATE: Obama SCOFFS at Clinton’s implied offer.

I ran across that line in the comments section of some other blog, and I like it.
