They're leaders of the pseudo-macho wing of the Republican Party who are deathly afraid of being perceived as insufficiently masculine. They think diplomacy is for sissies. They prefer war -- as long as somebody else's kids have to fight it. (John McCain, I should note, is exempted from those last few snarky remarks of mine. I don't question his courage.
