Bush wishes he was in the war himself

The Decider SAYSÂ it would be “a fantastic experience” to serve on the front lines.
He didn’t feel that way during the Vietnam War.Â
When Bush signed up for the Texas Air National Guard in 1968, one of the questions he had to answer on his application forms was whether he wanted to go overseas. He checked the box that said: “DO NOT VOLUNTEER.”
(Full disclosure: I didn’t serve in the Vietnam War, either, but there was nothing hypocritical about it. I was opposed to the war. Bush was all for it, as long as somebody else did the fighting.)

Bush’s comments are despicable. What the hell is he talking about? Does he think the front line is a day at the beach? Pat you are spot on in your posts that the Neo-Cons have no problem sending America’s young men and women off to war, excluding their kids. At least this fall we won’t have a Neo-Con on the GOP ticket, just a war monger.
