In just its first few days online, Barack Obama’s speech on race relations has drawn MILLIONS OF VIEWERS, helping to raise public-approval ratings for the oration.
UPDATE: Meanwhile, the senator ESCHEWS the L-word in favor of two P-words.
Pat-What does it tell you when the leading Democratic candidates for President try to deny that they are what their voting record would indicate, i.e., Liberal, while the Republican candidates embrace the title of Conservative?
It tells me that they’re trying to change the language of politics — you know, substituting “progressive” for “liberal,” which has been demonized by the right-wing zanies. It kind of reminds me of when the Reagan administration insisted that its tax increases were no such thing; rather they were “revenue enhancements.”
