Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

The rankings: 1) Indies 2) Dems 3) GOPs

In the first of our Applesauce rankings of American voters on the basis of smarts and awareness, we find independents in the lead followed in order by Democrats and Republicans.

Our lone criterion for this inaugural survey is the question of which voters are stupid enough to believe the widely and thoroughly discredited notion that Barack Obama is a Muslim.

We find in THIS POLL  that 14 percent of Republicans think the Illinois senator embraces the Islamic faith. Ten percent of Democrats and eight percent of independents agree.

We can only hope that these percentages gradually will decline — or that most of these dopes won’t participate in the November election.

Hey, Pat, in your opinion, what does it mean if not only do I not know BHO’s religion, but also that whatever religion he practices, if he does, is of absolutely no interest or consequence to me?

For that matter, I’ve no knowledge of what religion HRC practices either. If I had to guess, I’d guess some Christian denomination, but I couldn’t tell you for sure. Ditto for JSM. I’ve never voted for or against anyone based on my knowledge of their religion (or lack thereof).

Also consider that if there is confusion as to BHO’s religion, you can probably pin that mostly on some of your fellow Dems working for HRC.

Gee…when your preacher quotes and hangs around with the Nation of Islam…when your autobiography endears itself to Malcolm X, when your own father was muslim….danger danger Will Robinson.

I think anyone voting for Obama should land in last place. How do you know Obama’s personal religious beliefs? I guess his “word” is what you are going by, but Islam allows lying and deceit to further their cause, especially when dealing with so called “infadels”. After his denials concerning his attendence during his spiritual advisor and uber-racist, Rev. Wright’s hate-filled sermons, then remembering after he was outed, kind of puts his “word” out the window. Though it is easy to see, by your statements, that you are a big Obama supporter, so hopefully you won’t be participating in the November elections.

Chuck: I see what you mean. But even someone to whom a candidate’s religion means nothing can’t help but to have noticed the gossip about Obama being a Muslim. And if you’re paying attention, you should also have noticed that the Muslim angle was convincingly debunked in various journalistic investigations. My point is that only an uninformed pinhead would still believe that crap.

Shouldn’t the ability to successfully fill out a ballot count for something? Call it the Palm Beach differential…
