Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

When it comes to legislation that supports our military veterans, John McCain is what some folks might call an “aginner.” He’s AGAINST it.

He says we owe our vets ”a debt that we can never fully repay,” but he seems not to want to even try to repay it.

UPDATE: McCain demonstrated again today that he’s STILL NOT CLEAR about the differences between Shi’ites and Sunnis in Iraq.

UPDATE II: McCain’s economic adviser Carly Fiorina, a potential running mate for Mr. Straight Talk, went on TV this morning to DECLARE that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with high gasoline prices. Yeah, and it don’t rain in Indianapolis in the summertime.
