Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Roy Edroso, clever proprietor of the worthy Alicublog, has compiled THIS ROSTER of the most popular wingnut blogs for the Village Voice.

I’m not suggesting that you should actually visit any of these political porn sites. But if you must, at least return here at regular intervals for a curative fix of sanity.

The issue hasn’t gone away, but Barack Obama seems to be weathering the storm over his recent remarks about small-towners.

The evidence?  There’s THIS about the money he’s raising in the hamlets of Pennsylvania.

And there are THESE POLLS.

And there’s THIS about his biggest-ever lead of 11 percentage points in the Gallup Daily Tracking Poll.

And there are THESE recent polls in Pennsylvania, none of which show any lost ground for Obama in the wake of the controversial remarks.

If this issue doesn’t soon draw real blood from Obama’s standing, Hillary Clinton will continue flogging it only at the risk of losing ground herself.

UPDATE: Jed’s got a pretty good WRAPUP of the stuff I have here and more.
