Excellent column. Pat, have you heard the theory that Hilliary will bow out after winning West Virginia, so she can go out on a winning note, claiming she’s being gracious and doing it for the good of the party and the country?

Speaking of Hillary and West Virginia, I hear that she’s tried to endear herself to the rustics in those parts by telling them that she and Bill are not just husband and wife but also brother and sister. (Rim shot.)

Herbert is right on the mark. Hopefully, Obama is elected and gets the country back on track. Then maybe the next time this happens (a person of color runs for president), race will be less of an issue. If things go badly for Obama, the bigots and fear mongers will have plenty of ammunition the next time this happens.
Also, thanks for clarifying the West Virgina thing. I thought it was cousins.
