Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

I’m going to be absent from Applesauce World Headquarters until late this afternoon or early this evening. (I’ll be attending a strategy meeting of Bilderbergers, Trilateralists, Illuminati conspirators and other one-worlders to map out our plan to foist our Manchurian candidate, Barack Obama, on a naive American electorate.)

Meanwhile, feel free to argue among yourselves.  But no violence, please.

Markos over at Daily Kos has DRAWN THE MAP pictured here, which shows 16 states (red) in John McCain’s column at this point and 14 states (blue) for Barack Obama.

The electoral votes from these states favor Obama by a count of 173 to 144. The 21 yellow toss-up states represent 221 electoral votes.

To win the presidency, 270 electoral votes are needed.
