Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

It isn’t often that Time magazine’s Mark Halperin makes even one good point in the stuff he writes, but THIS TIME he’s made 15 of them on the subject of factors working against John McCain in his contest with Barack Obama.

I hate to admit it, but I think Halperin’s 15 points article is right on target. However, I think McCain has more “fight in him” than did Bob Dole. McCain doesn’t try to conceal his age. He has a wrinkly neck and he has white hair and what ya see is what ya get. But mentally McCain is very agile and he is much better on the stump than Dole, in spite of what pundits say. I mean honestly, his speeches aren’t that bad. What the hell do you expect?
