GOP losing the new-media war

Jonathan Martin of Politico has an INTERESTING PIECE on how liberals have stolen a march on conservatives by using the Internet for reporting news rather than just commenting on it.

New media? All media.

Did you even read the piece, Bob? It’s got nothing to do with political bias in the mainstream media. It’s all about political uses of the new media and how conservatives have yet to master the use of the Internet as a reporting tool rather than just a medium for comment and analysis.

Yes, I read the Politico piece you referred to in your post. It was by Jonathan Martin who was assigned to cover Republicans during the primaries and in that role had his thumb on the scales for John McCain. Can I help you with anything else?
Here’s an interesting video of a ‘certain senator’ claiming to be on a committee of which he isn’t a member.

You’re a funny guy, Bob, and you’re trying to have it both ways. You’re always implying that the media invariably give Obama favorable treatment. But when he misspeaks about the Banking Committee, calling it “my committee,” every news medium in the country makes a big deal out of it.
Jed Lewison has the real facts on that story:
“Clearly, Barack meant to say ‘my bill’ because he was talking about the fact that last week the banking committee passed the key provisions of his Iranian divestment legislation as part of a larger Iranian sanctions bill. In other words, he misspoke on a trivial detail, and immediately made sure the record was corrected. Compare that to John McCain’s stubborn reluctance to admit error on the surge timeline.”
So, ha ha, Bob. The banking committee thing is not the big scandal you and the other right-wingers are making it out to be. This whole thing is an effort to divert attention from the fact that McCain is embarrassingly shaky on the details of the Iraq war. Now that’s a real issue.

Never said scandal, I said interesting, in the same way that he claimed 10,000 people died in recent Kansas tornados or that he’d campaigned in 57 states. It’s also interesting that you’ve chosen to filter Obama comments through the mind of someone named Jed.

I don’t follow you on the Jed thing.

See your comment 4 where you state that a man named Jed Lewison is employed for the purpose of explaining misstatements by his holiness.
