Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don't say you weren't warned. By the way, this blog's name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, "All politics is applesauce."

George W. Bush had to listen to those advisers; he was way over his head when it came to becoming the President.

It is a good column and it makes strong points on the type of President McCain would be if this strategy works. What bothers me the most is George W. Bush has strictly followed the advice of two or three advisers and look what's happened. I really don't think Bush is such a bad guy, but he's abdicated his responsibility for making the final decision on major issues. He's simpy in the wrong job and doesn't have the fortitude to go against his advisers. McCain may be doing the same thing.
