Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don't say you weren't warned. By the way, this blog's name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, "All politics is applesauce."

Ronald Reagan had all the experience he needed to do what he did best.

Reagan was an expert actor who could get his audience to suspend their disbelief in a work of fiction that he had a role in.

As president, Reagan used his actor skills to put a pretty and patriotic face on the many despicable, evil, criminal and unAmerican policies that he consistently supported and brutally implemented.

Comparing Obama to Reagan is not a compliment.

I hope that those of you who support Obama understand that the canonization of Ronald Reagan represents the sanctification of the very kind of politics that Obama is supposed to want to change.

Is Obama also just a clever actor? I believe so.

Is he as unscrupulous as Reagan? I hope not.

Ronald Reagan was governor of California for 8 years. Barack Obama made some speeches and collected a number of shady friends. Now Obama wants us to compare him with Ronald Reagan. Good luck with that.
