Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

By popular demand, here’s America’s newest political sensation — Paris Hilton

Mine is probably the only liberal blog in America that hasn’t posted Paris Hilton’s political video.

Because of technical challenges I’ve yet to master, I couldn’t put the video directly on this page. But a commenter on another  Applesauce post provided a link to it, and that’s what I’m doing HERE.

POSTSCRIPT: Steve Benen at The Carpetbagger Report RAISES a few good questions:

“Why is that Paris Hilton’s fake ad includes more substantive talk about energy policy than John McCain’s real ad? Second, if writers helped Hilton with her script, and writers helped McCain with his script, why is it that Hilton seems to have a better grasp on policy details than McCain does? Shouldn’t that be, you know, the other way around?”

I saw this yesterday and I think it’s the funniest “campaign ad” I’ve ever seen. It could teach both parties a thing or two on producing an effective ad. And, with McCain’s troop insisting that THEIR Paris Hilton ad was just a joke, it could teach the Republic Party just what humor really is.

    More Republican Party humor:

A whole lot of failure going on.

    LD,
    that was just totally lame.

I expect to get two or three copies of it in my e-mail in the next few days from my “Fox Friends”. You know the type, we’ve all got ‘em in our circle of friends. I’ll just send them the link to Paris’ submission.

Usually the Snopes or factcheck link is sufficient for the drivel I get from Fox Friends. The stuff they send is always hyperbole at best, out and out false at worst.

    Yeah,
Snopes and I have broken more hearts than…. Paris Hilton?
