The national backdrop against which Barack Obama and John McCain will appear tonight at a California megachurch shows a new RISE OF THE EVANGELICAL CENTER on the political spectrum.

I’ve been telling you for weeks and weeks that there’s no way John McCain is going to choose Mitt Romney as his running mate, but some of you still don’t agree with me.
Well, consider THIS.
I still think it’s going to be Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (although I’m not as sure on that point as I once was).
