Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Unanswered prayers

A few weeks ago, I told you HERE about the efforts at Focus on the Family, a theocratic organization, to get everyone praying for thunderstorms to occur in Denver on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 28, to ruin Barack Obama’s big speech at an outdoor football stadium.

Well, guess whose side God is on.

It now APPEARS all but certain that those storms will not occur.

Maybe we can hope for a Tornado instead. Or a meteor strike :)

Very Christian of you Roger…exactly what many of us have come to expect from the holier than thou, my god has a bigger d*ck than your god religious right crowd… ought to go back to feeding you to the lions…

The video you refer to was a joke–proving that left-wingers have no sense of humor.

On the other hand, thanks for reminding us about theocratic organizations aa well as this kind.

Waiting for Mr. Applesauce to start a topic about self proclaimed “Ardent” Catholic Nancy Pelosi (Who has studied the topic in depth) stating emphatically that the Catholic Church does not state when life begins. That seems like a much more relevant story than this idiot who is in control of nothing as far as our country goes.

How far would the “Liberal” Media have run with that one if McCain had stated the same? Senile or stupid I imagine, not with Mrs. Pelosi? Or how about the fact that she doesn’t know that natural gas is a fossil fuel althought she is invested in it with T Boone? Seems like a conflict of interest I would be reading about if she were on the right considering she won’t allow a vote on offshore drilling making a stronger case for natural gas. HMMM… Sounds like one of the futures vultures who have helped drive oil prices up to me.

What say you Pat? Been kind of quiet on this topic, like the rest of the media. Double standard all the way on this one Pal.

Optimistic1: Well, now I don’t have to start that topic. You’ve done it for me. Have a good time with it. And let me know how the argument turns out.

That’s because God is a black lesbian!

I am sure you were woking diligently on pointing out the folly that was Mrs. Pelosi on Meet The Press. Sorry to steal your thunder. Sounds like the Catholic Church already had a few choice words for her idiocy. Argument was lost for all involved considering she plays a pretty important role in the country as far as abortion and energy policy. She is what you blast McCain for being. Your silence means more than anything to me Pat, thanks.

Optimistic1: I have no idea what you’re talking about. It’s something about Pelosi and the Catholic Church, right? If you’ll put it clearer terms, I might have something to say about it. Otherwise, don’t get too excited about my silence.

Such an educated man on issues of Mr. McCain couldn’t possibly have avoided the blunders of Mrs. Pelosi could he?

    http://blogs.wsj.com/environmentalcapital/2008/08/25/fuel-for-debate-pelosi-suggests-natural-gas-isnt-a-fossil-fuel/

McCain is whacked for not knowing the meaning of lyrics to some lame tune (that 90% of America did not know the meaning of I am guessing), but Pelosi gets a pass on the most important issues of our day from your side? She is invested in natural gas with T. Boone, that fact alone would get McCain skewered for being too rich and out of touch as well as it being a total conflict of interest considering she is Anti-Oil and has say in our direction on energy, not to mention what would be said if he didn’t know it was a fossil fuel! “Queen No Drill” may need to study up a bit on possibly the most important topic she has on her vast table, I know it isn’t easy to keep the “Normal” people of San Fran happy as well as the rest of us, but a little more effort will be needed on these two topics in the future please.

Geez, I didn’t know Nancy Pelosi was running for Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. I’ll have to read Optimistic’s blogs more often to keep informed. And if that’s not what he is trying to tell us, then who gives a crap?

The thread was about Focus on the Family and Barack Obama, not Pelosi and the Catholic Church.
