Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

“Listen, I want some of them Greek or Roman columns behind me when it’s my turn to talk”

Avid supporters of John McCain are CHORTLING today over news that Barack Obama will deliver his big speech Thursday night before a backdrop of Greek columns.

Just imagine! Greek columns! What arrogance!

But they forget that George W. Bush also spoke before fake columns at the Republican convention of 2004, as we see HERE.

Those poor saps in the McCain camp. Their candidate can’t remember how many houses he owns, and they can’t remember the setting in which their party’s presidential incumbent delivered his nomination-acceptance speech just four years ago.

And this gang thinks it’s qualified to run the country?
