McCain wanted to pick Lieberman, but theocrats forced him to back down

The specter of a rebellion by the Religious Right prompted John McCain to give up his desire to name Sen. Joe Lieberman as his running mate.

According to THIS REPORT, McCain opted for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, though he “hardly knew her, and she had virtually no foreign policy experience…[V]irtually no one had heard of her, a McCain adviser said.”

This passage says it all:

“At the very least, the process reflects Mr. McCain’s history of making fast, instinctive and sometimes risky decisions. ‘I make them as quickly as I can, quicker than the other fellow, if I can,’ Mr. McCain wrote, with his top adviser Mark Salter, in his 2002 book, ‘Worth the Fighting For.’ ‘Often my haste is a mistake, but I live with the consequences without complaint.’”

Yeah, but what about the complaints of the rest of us?

That Obama guy is just jealous.

No wonder she’s OFFENDED.

Obama says McCain’s pick of Palin an “indicator of this country moving forward,” but….
