Here’s Rudy Giuliani talking about Barack Obama the other night:
“(H)e’s never run a city, never run a state, never run a business. He’s never had to lead people in crisis.”
Here’s Rudy talking about John McCain during a Republican presidential debate last year:
“(He) has never run a city, never run a state, never run a government. He has never been responsible as a mayor for the safety and security of millions of people…”

Paul Krugman puts certain things in perspective:
Can the super-rich former governor of Massachusetts — the son of a Fortune 500 C.E.O. who made a vast fortune in the leveraged-buyout business — really keep a straight face while denouncing “Eastern elites”?
Can the former mayor of New York City, a man who, as USA Today put it, “marched in gay pride parades, dressed up in drag [see photo above] and lived temporarily with a gay couple and their Shih Tzu” — that was between his second and third marriages — really get away with saying that Barack Obama doesn’t think small towns are sufficiently “cosmopolitan”?

Maybe some of you Applesauce readers can tell us.

There’s much more for political junkies and numbers freaks to ponder in the results of this one-day survey.
POSTSCRIPT: By the way, Palin’s speech on Wednesday night has spurred a BIG INFLUX of cash contributions — to the Obama campaign.
