Charlie Gibson’s chance to redeem himself
September 7th, 2008 at 03:03pm Pat Cunningham
The McCain camp, which has been sharply criticized for keeping Sarah Palin away from inquiring reporters, lest she commit some gaffe, has finally relented.
Palin will FACE QUESTIONINGÂ by ABC’s Charles Gibson sometime this week.
Here’s an opportunity for Gibson to regain a bit of respectability after his SCANDALOUSLY BAD performance at a Democratic debate this past April.

Finally relented Pat? She was announced 9 days ago and one would assume they had a convention on their mind not to mention the threat of a major hurricane threatening plans/schedules. C’mon Man, 9 days isn’t crazy to get on the same page is it?

Mabye Charlie can ask, as Sally Quinn did on the Diane Rehm Show, whether Sarah can balance being mom of five children with the job of vice president, or possibly president.
Wonder if Sally Snarky ever asked that of Nancy Pelosi, who also has five kids and has been a full time politician her whole life?
As Sly Stone said, Different strokes for different folks, and so on, and so on, and scoby dooby dooby.

Palin could always answer with another Sly Stone lyric: “Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin.”

It’s incredible that a vice presidential candidate doesn’t want to be interviewed. This is the kind of thing an authoritarian government would do. How dim can she be, if she is not willing even go on Fox for heaven’s sake.

I don’t know…Gibson’s so far in the tank for the GOP he can’t even see the filler hole any more. I have a feeling he’s going to give softball a really bad name.

The only reason anyone has to fear tough questions is because they don’t have good answers. Like, say, this one. For that reason Obama’s pillow bearers became apoplectic over the questions Obama had no good answer for.

i hope he asks her who in the hell she thinks she is–preaching to h.s. kids on the government\’s dime, trying to ban books, ignoring all science and pushing the freaky creationism in public schools and being arrogant enough to believe her and her congregation\’s prayers will make gays straight…if that crap worked, these hate mongering homophobes would have already rid their flat planet of all gays……

When it comes to hubris, she makes the Bush crowd look like pikers.

Scandalously bad is a phrase that can be applied all around the political press corps.
