Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Pat - Have you looked at the public record on this guy? I hope you will and see that the real story here is a guy with drinking problem and a restraining order against him who has shown he has a problem controlling himself by tasering his stepson. It is a sad story and I feel bad it is so public for this poor bastard. For the Palin family to complain about the guy time and time again and the union to defend this idiot as one of their own when the record shows he had major issues is just a state of the world we live in. This guy told his wifes father he was going to make him eat a F***ing bullet and this guy had weapons readily available to him. If the Palin family did something wrong (Before Sarah was Governor) and was reprimanded, so be it, they did nothing illegal as far as I can see in record and were trying to protect Sarah’s sister from an obvious threat. Do you blame their frustration? As for the real threat, if you don’t see it as this guy getting violent showing his history and the union continuing to give him a gun, then will you also be the first to defend the Catholic Church on their own ridiculous actions on priests who were known pedophiles? If this guy didn’t get canned in our liability world, is there not a good chance the state sooner or later would pay the piper when he does lose it on a citizen? Ask the catholic church how it worked out for them, 615 million paid in 2007 alone. Is Palin the bad guy for getting this guy fired? I think not. The union didn’t do its job to protect people from this guy. By all means, keep defending this guy for political gain, the “Earl is in the Trunk” crowd is getting fired up!

Here is an article from the Anchorage Daily News with many links to public records of the investigation so people can read for themselves if they care to.

I\’m not surprised that Pat has ignored the fact that just a few miles east of here is a cop walking free while his 3rd wife remains missing, his 2nd wife died and apparently was murdered, and his buddies (cops) protected him from domestic abuse charges on multiple occasions. And it all happened in Obamas backyard. Go ahead Pat…MAKE TROOPERGATE AN ISSUE! I DARE YOU!

So how is Obama connected to that case? Did he try to get him fired? BTW Troopergate is an issue!

Optimistic1-Well done but you err in believing that facts and commonsense will have an impact with liberals.

Sauce has the cop\’s back–it\’s a union thing about not filing the correct paperwork or somesuch. If we\’re gonna complain about all the misbehaving cops no one will want to become one–isn\’t that the line we were taught to recite after every malfeasance by a Dem politician?
