Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

God Forbid these hypocrites would actually get up in the morning and talk about the issues that effect every single
American working man and women.
That in itself would put an end forever
to the Republican Party as it now stands
A corrupted and filthy imposter posing in place of the one they killed.
A Walking Corpse sowing hate lies and venom wherever they go

Forget What They Say !
See What They Do …….
Lose Your Home, Lose Your Vote !
Michigan Republicans plan to foreclose African American voters
The chairman of the Republican Party in Macomb County Michigan, a key swing county in a key swing state, is planning to use a list of foreclosed homes to block people from voting in the upcoming election as part of the state GOP’s effort to challenge some voters on Election Day.
“We will have a list of foreclosed homes and will make sure people aren’t voting from those addresses,” party chairman James Carabelli told Michigan Messenger in a telephone interview earlier this week.
He said the local party wanted to make sure that proper electoral procedures were followed.
State election rules allow parties to assign “election challengers” to polls to monitor the election. In addition to observing the poll workers, these volunteers can challenge the eligibility of any voter provided they “have a good reason to believe” that the person is not eligible to vote.
One allowable reason is that the person is not a “true resident of the city or township.”
The Michigan Republicans’ planned use of foreclosure lists is apparently an attempt to challenge ineligible voters as not being “true residents.”
One expert questioned the legality of the tactic.

Ahh Gunn, always so subtle. Is it safe to say republican hate mongers can go after democrat votes that are cast by dead people? Asking too much? What the hell are they thinking wanting to make sure people are ELIGIBLE to vote in an election? Law is law, pesky I understand and something tells me both sides will have reps there making sure votes cast are eligible, and that is a good thing, especially with organizations like ACORN playing the fraud game so well/ with our tax dollars.
OK Sen Obama, issues it should be! But why is Sen Obama so interested in the issues all of a sudden? Let us not forget Sen Obama had an invitation to go head to head with Sen McCain to prove to every person in America via town hall meetings he is the King on the issues, he declined. Sen Obama likes to give speeches to the proletariat about the issues, but as he showed at Saddleback, he is too nuanced on the issues when off stump to come across as presidential. He had an opportunity to be “issue based” with those meetings and declined as one would have to assume he feared it would not help his cause to become POTUS.
What would it take as citizens to change the election cycle so that it is MANDATORY Lincoln Douglas Style Debates starting in 2012. Does anyone lose in the electorate by doing so? Seems like a big win to me when prompters fed by the man behind the curtain are shut off. Mandatory that any person voting has to watch a certain portion of said debates in order to pull the lever? Dare I ask, is it really asking too much for people to be educated on the candidates VIA the candidates? Call me old fashioned, I don’t think people who vote should be dead, paid or coerced to vote for a certain candidate.

That’s a good one Obama! We all remember the racism charges your crew made against President Clinton based on nothing. So NOW you’re offended? Remember Rev. Wright, ‘chickens are coming home, to roost’.

Mandatory debates would be interesting, but if they intended to be fair, then they would probably be legally required to include all candidates from all parties. At least the present system of voluntary debates hosted by third party institutions can exclude anyone they don’t want from the debates.
I wish they would have more debates, especially this time around, so that people can realize that McCain et al are lying.

Speaking of being educated about the candidates VIA the candidates when are those big old strong men in the Repbulican party let that poor little victim of a woman Sarah Palin answer a few questions. It would be chaperoned of course. Oh never mind my wife said the Rebublicans just pulled her nomination because everyone was just being too mean.

WOW,
Talk about out of touch, This is it ???
Two out of three false accusations that are based on total misinformation.
No wonder we are losing two wars.
On the mortgage meltdown:
“Let me get this right! People buy homes they cannot afford”
On Voter Suppression:
“democrat votes that are cast by dead people?”
And the most prophetic of all
‘chickens are coming home, to roost’
After eight long years this statement is truer than these republican mouth pieces will ever know.
Cause the chickens and chicken hawks for that matter, Truley ARE comming home to roost,
That is if “Roosting”, means being held accountable and responsible for giving us the worst President in the history of our Nation.
Roost Away !
Stop the Drama
Vote Obama
