Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

McCain says Palin “knows more about energy than probably anyone else in the United States”

Is this insane or what?:

Well we know at least 3 people who Palin beats in that knowledge contest–McCain, Obama and Biden.

Boy, I bet T. Boone Pickins is feeling pretty stupid right about now, him having thought all this time that HE is the one who knows most about energy in the U.S.

And just WHAT does Palin know about energy and how did she get it? Is it from her years working in the oil fields? Or working in nuclear power plants? Or digging coal? Or is it her advanced mechanical/chemical engineering degrees? Or is it because she got struck by lightning? I can believe she knows more than McCain. That wouldn’t be hard to do. The same undoubtedly applies to Menlo Bob. But more than anyone else in the U.S.? Was McCain having a “sundowners” moment?

Wow, I guess I had a little too much respect for John McCain’s intelligence, albeit very little after his shift to the Far Right. I didn’t expect to see him repeat the whole “She knows about foreign policy, because her state is next to Russia” bit. I thought that was limited to boneheads like Steve Doocy.
