  No 1 in 10,000 would know how to respond to Gibson on this point. Gibson seems to place the Bush Doctrine at one date in history. In fact it is a series of statements about how he intends to respond to terrorism (I had to look it up). Asking to narrow the question down is reasonable, but then asking Palin to describe the concept, and then correcting her with Gibson’s own narrow interpretation is the essence of the ‘gotcha question’.

  Gibson is just trying to kiss and make up with the left after having the audacity to ask the Chosen One a tough question or two.

  Mike: Make that a STUPID question or two…or seven. Gibson is still a second-rate journalist.

  The Bush Doctrine basically says the US has the right to pre-emptively attack another nation or group to protect to its interests (national security or otherwise). It isn’t really that complicated that it needs to be narrowed down.

  They say that pigs are smarter than dogs. So I guess the lipstick on a pig comment was a compliment to this ignorant pitbull.

  You know what’s also reasonable? That she would have at least a passing idea what Gibson was talking about with regard to the Bush Doctrine. Is there anyone who can’t look at the events of the last 5-7 years and figure it out?

  Actually, with some of the gaffes McCain has pulled in his campaign, I think the caption “Palin couldn’t hear Leiberman whispering in her ear.” would be more appropriate.
