Previously lazy media finally wake up
September 15th, 2008 at 08:24pm Pat Cunningham
HERE’s a handy collection of 25 media responses to the McCain-Palin campaign’s tawdry record of recklessness with truth and honesty over the past few weeks.
This suggests that the Republican ticket is going to face a more skeptical and vigilant press corps over the final seven weeks of the presidential campaign.
Putting it another way, John McCain’s “base,” as he used to call the media, is no longer as reliably pliant as it once was. And the change is coming at the worst possible time for him.

Pat - I was going to post a collection for 25 examples of the media calling out Obama on one of the main tenets of his campaign be complete BS (No Lobbyist Money), but I couldn’t find any because the media doesn’t really go there. I did find one story from April from a major outlet:

You will say McCain is a big fat liar over the Bridge to Nowhere, but is it different somehow when Sen Obama has raked in millions from law firms who lobby Washington, yet he stumps daily about not doing so? I fail to see why it is different, other than Obama getting a virtual pass on lies on this topic, and McCain getting scrutinized for such behavior from your pals in the tank for Big O.

Otimistic1 remember, There has been hardly any vetting of Obama by the Media, Everything in Palin’s past is being scrutinized. Can someone tell me what Obama did at Columbia? What about his relationship with Frank Marshall Davis, a hard core communist.

I wonder when there will be some in-depth of Obama’s association with ACORN, and other “community organizer” activities?
