Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

It’s too bad that Obama wasn’t able to save this zinger for next week’s debate — it would have ranked right up there with Lloyd Bensten’s “Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy” moment.

You have to kidding. He is a product of the worst old boys network around, the Chicago Political Machine. Also, he never found a bill he couldn’t vote present on. How could he save it for the debates, I don’t think you get to use a teleprompter in the debates.

No, and nor will McCain get to use his index cards. McCain is almost as hapless as Bush #43 when it comes to extemporaneous speech, so don’t hold your breath for a McCain bounce after the first debate.
