Comments on: The poll that matters most at this point

Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don't say you weren't warned. By the way, this blog's name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, "All politics is applesauce."

What they will do is say that McCain voted along party lines 90% of the time. When Obama votes present/NV does that not count? Also, they throw in the votes for stupid stuff like naming a rest area. McCain has shown he does not vote along party lines. I myself have been angered by his votes.

As I said yesterday, I have not seen a candidate to date be able to go into Washington and change much of anything. They get into office and inevtiably find out they are facing a tidle wave of "The System" there. Do you view this poll as naivety on the part of Obama supporters considering he has voted along with his party 96% of the time according to the Washington Post or do you believe they realistically believe he can step in and change Washington? Not that it will matter at the ballot box, just curious what opinions are considering Sen Obama has no record of making enemies taking a stand that I have seen documented.
