POSTSCRIPT: The McCain campaign also is RUNNING INTERFERENCE for Sarah Palin with respect to her upcoming debate with Joe Biden. The McCain people are insisting on a rigid format with little opportunity for free-wheeling, direct exchanges between the candidates.Â
 Apparently, Palin isn’t ready to play in the big leagues.

FREE AND THE BRAVE: Oh yeah, she’s very experienced. She ran up a big debt in the town of which she was mayor, and she can’t run Alaska without more federal handouts per capita than any other state in the union. Nor can she keep her stories straight. Oh yeah, she’s a real whiz, and the more the American people learn about her, the more she sinks in the polls.

Since Leona Helsley died the title “Queen of Mean” has been vacant. I think Palan has earned it working her way up from “Barracuda” to “I’ve got mine Jack, you get yours.”
