Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer SAYS Barack Obama “is a man of limited experience, questionable convictions, deeply troubling associations…and an alarming lack of self-definition…” but he also has ”both a first-class intellect and a first-class temperament. That will likely be enough to make him president.”

    Both a first-class intellect and a first-class temperament.

The fact that our current President lacks both of these is a big reason we are no longer respected in the world the way we once were. I don’t think McCain/Palin meet this criteria either. They would be better than what we now have, but not by much. Whether we like it or not, we now live in a globally linked society, isolationism and disregard for the opinion of the rest of the world have no place in a modern state.
