This humble little blog recorded its 6,000th comment over the weekend, which ain’t too bad considering that we’ve been here barely nine months.
Coincidentally, the weekend also brought our 1,300th post — an impressive total for a part-time gig, if I say so myself.
I am sincerely grateful to our many Applesauce visitors and especially to those brave enough to register comments at the risk of snarky rejoinders from me and other commenters.

Thanks for all of the time that you put into this. It is frustratingly enjoyable and brutal, yet fun.
Lesson I learned: Take nothing personally. This thread promotes thought, dialogue, and free speech for everyone.

By the way, some comments received here at Applesauce are not published, mainly because of exceedingly strong profanity and/or really ugly racist or homophobic language. Amazingly, however, there’s relatively little such stuff.
