Obama camp plays Keating Five card in response to McCain’s character smears
October 6th, 2008 at 08:24am Pat Cunningham
Barack Obama’s campaign is launching a BROADBASED EFFORT today to raise public awareness of John McCain’s involvement in the so-called Keating Five savings-and-loan scandal of nearly 20 years ago.
The strategy is a response to the McCain camp’s recent guilt-by-association smears on Obama’s character.
The centerpiece of the Obama effort is a 13-minute documentary on the Keating Five scandal to be released at 11 a.m. (CDT) today. Here’s a preview:

So much for Obama and its all about change. He claimed all along he would not run a campaign the same as the others have. Yet this is just what he is doing. Tony Resco,Bill Ayers,Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr, Acorn,Obama in the top 5 Money makers at Fannie Mae,Sinclair, Reyes, Khalidl, Auchi, Abassi and Farrakhan. The list goes on and on. Obama has no room to talk. He has had may radical ties and America should check these out. His change is not good for America. The flag should be flown upside down if Obama were to win as this would be a country in distress.

I’d like to add a re-post from another threat (to add to all of Senator Obama’s radical ties):
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois:
Body count (In the last six months):
292 killed (murdered) in Chicago
221 killed in Iraq .
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago (a lot of good gun control does).
State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country.
Chicago school system is one of the worst in country (Rockford isn’t far behind, either).
Our leadership in Illinois are all Democrats (Senators Barack Obama & Dick Durbin, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., Gov. Rod Blogojevich, House leader Mike Madigan, Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan, Mayor Richard Daley).
Of course they’re all blaming each other, because you can’t blame Republicans if there aren’t any……..
How, exactly, is it that Senator Obama plans to ‘fix’ Washington politics, when he’s doing, and done, so little for his own state?

Did anyone see 60 Minutes last night? I haven’t seen a better explanation for what really went on with this financial meltdown. People need to be going to prison, and this unregulated market of insurance that isn’t called insurance (Credit Default Swaps) to avoid regulation is done away with completely. Here’s a link to the video…

Believe me, Senator Obama’s (now denied, however provable) radical associates’ agendas and criminal involvement go far beyond the Keating 5.
Believe me, he will not be out next President. The Democratic Party should have run Clinton (whom I’m no fan of either). She’s a better candidate than either of our current candidates (of which Senator Obama is the far weaker and frail of the two)………………..
In today’s international climate, and with the current challenges to homeland and world security that we face, Senator Obama’s ignorance with respect to the current state of Russia and the Arab countries that they support is frightening. It’s not all that far off until Mother Russia stands up and makes some bold moves to reclaim her former glory in conjunction with Asian and Arab states. But, what will the attack on Israel be “fueled” by? The 2 million bbl oil reserves, with much, much more untapped, or their 709.7 million cu m of natural gas, with estimation off the charts with respect to newly found natural gas reserves in the Dead Sea (remember, now, Russia supplies Europe with their natural gas)? As well as other “perks” that they will receive from the many Arab nations that want to see the country of Israel forfeit, and the Israeli people extinct through genocide………………
There is a lot more at stake for the US and our few remaining allies (namely Israel) than his weak international political platform seems to take seriously…………………..

So, is Keating Five supposed to be off limits just because McCain once apologized for his role in the scandal?

Keating caused 23,000 people to lose their life savings. McCain was best buds with the guy, used his jet, used his resort, and took money from him. Cindy was in business with the guy. So when the feds got close McCain took out his “come to Jesus card.” Sounds like just another politician to me.
Us taxpayers also picked up the tab for that mess.
