Guess who won’t be ready on Day One

The campaign organizations of non-incumbent presidential candidates ordinarily don’t wait for the votes to be counted before undertaking preparations to assume the reins of power. They recognize the need to have a transition team ready to smooth the process.
Accordingly, Barack Obama has had his transition team in place for months. John McCain, on the other hand, has not. Apparently, it has something to do with SUPERSTITION.
POSTSCRIPT: McCain has a long history of superstition, as we see HERE.

If, in the unlikely event “that one” wins, get ready for a bumpy ride.

David. Do you think it can get any bumpier than George Bush and his gang of criminals driving this country off a cliff?

David Johnson: Two things:
1) If you knew how to read the polls, you’d understand that it is NOT UNLIKELY that “that one” will win the election.
2) The column to which you link says absolutely nothing about the prospects for a “bumpy ride” in an Obama presidency. It’s merely a collection of anecdotes about media accommodations on the campaign trail.
Consider the second-to-the-last paragraph of the piece:
“Maybe none of this means much. Maybe a front-running campaign like Obama’s that is focused solely on victory doesn’t have the time to do the mundane things like print up schedules or attend to the needs of reporters.”
David, are you suddenly sympathetic with the mainstream media in light of the workplace travails they face? Wow! How uncharacteristically compassionate of you.

You know what?
I think it is going to be a bumpy ride for whomever claims the Presidency in this election. There are a lot of uneasy alliances growing in this world, and all with strong Anti-US sentiment. And, more and more backers.
Look where Gordon Brown is taking Britain.
Should Senator Obama become our next President, I just hope to see a fast learner, surrounded by GOOD advisers, with the ability to make the tough call.
I just haven’t agreed with his judgment, to date. I know that is a very subjective subject, but, with respect to both candidates, I feel Senator McCain has the clearer view of today’s world, and what we need to do to maintain our security, and become energy-independent from foreign suppliers.
