Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

L.A. Times: GOP officials worry that McCain-Palin slide is “irreversible”

THIS PIECE in this morning’s Los Angeles Times says the differences in John McCain’s and Barack Obama’s responses to the financial crisis has hurt the Republican ticket and raised fears among GOP officials.

Mark Wagner, a 47-year-old lifelong Republican from Florida, says this:

“If you looked at some of the decisions that Obama’s made, and the consistency and levelness that he’s had in these trying times over the past few weeks, in my opinion he’s blown McCain away…McCain was supposed to be the steady hand with experience.”

Thanks for the link Drew. But as you know, Pat is either a closet socialist himself or he is so intellectually dishonets that it won’t make a bit of differance what facts you present to him.

    John,

if you think the previous was good. Check out this letter from McCain sent to Obama in 2006. He basically lays the smackdown.

    Drew,

I guess you didn’t notice, but the link in your first comment is not an article, it is only an editorial opinion expressed by someone who didn’t have the balls to identify himself. Very newsworthy. And a little bit of research would find countering columns in papers with names like Wall Street Journal (another socialist rag).

Oh, and the thread was about McCain’s slide, in case you guys missed that point. Personally, I didn’t see any slide. McCain was near the bottom and has stayed there. Therefore, no slide.
