John McCain says he doesn’t like campaign robocalls, automated phone calls that peddle garbage aimed at slurring an opposition candidate.
McCain was the victim of just such calls when he competed with George W. Bush in the South Carolina Republican primary in 2000.
Amazingly, McCain’s campaign is now resorting to robocalls — and it’s using the SAME COMPANY that targeted Mr. Straight Talk eight years ago.

Frank Luntz (above), a longtime Republican pollster and consultant, who currently works for Fox News Channel, TELLS Bill Maher that “it doesn’t matter what happens in the next two weeks,” Barack Obama will win the presidency.

TPM’s composite of five daily tracking polls released today SHOWS Barack Obama’s lead over John McCain at 5.2 percentage points, down from yesterday’s 6.5 percent.
But the national numbers are misleading. Obama still has a wide lead in electoral votes, as we see HERE and HERE.
