McCain sounds almost resigned to defeat

This hasn’t been a good Sunday for John McCain, and his tone during an INTERVIEW this morning on Fox News suggested that he’s psychologically preparing himself for defeat.
UPDATE: A composite of five daily tracking polls released today SHOWS Barack Obama leading by six percentage points.
UPDATE II: NBC’s Chuck Todd SAYS the McCain campaign is conceding the national popular vote and is concentrating instead on a win in the Electoral College.
But that’s a pretty tall order.
According to THIS ELECTORAL MAP at Pollster.com, even if McCain wins all the electoral votes in the states now considered toss-ups, he’ll lose the election by 35 electoral votes. That’s more than Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah combined.
