Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Despite evidence to the contrary, McCain camp says it didn’t peddle bogus “attack” story

The phonus balonus story of the “attack” on McCainiac Ashley Todd had Straight Talk fingerprints all over it.

But the McCain camp is PLEADING innocence.

Is it really surprising they didn’t do a very good job with Ashley Todd? They didn’t vet Joe the Plumber very well before planting him either. He would benefit from Obama’s plan and what’s more if it was really that important to him, he ought to think about registering to vote.

As far as I have read, Todd was a volunteer. I don’t know of anyone who “vets” volunteers. She was just a wacko and the McCain people had little to do with it. However, the idiots at Fox news were having a field day with it when they thought there might be a connection with Obama. So much for “fair and balanced”.
