Oddly, McCain ad says “Obama’s not ready…yet”

I guess this is a pitch for voters who want Barack Obama to become president someday.
Good luck with that approach:

Obama is not ready. Even the French have commented on his immature understanding of the growing Iranian threat and his arrogance, as well. The French complaining someone is arrogant? That’s pretty arrogant. But, the bigger the ego, the bigger the fall.
In his arrogance he has been demeaning our work in Iraq and Afghanistan. Trying to demoralize out troops into disdain of the job that they are doing (although, if you talk to any local Iraqi/Afghani war veteran, they can’t tell you enough how well things are going over there, and all of the good we have done, and continue to do). I haven’t found one who has spoken out against the war, personally. Not one.
Who said: “Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damages morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, quickly tried and hanged”
Anyone? Who? You..sir, in the back…..I’m sorry, could you please speak up? I can’t hear……yes. Yes, sir, that is correct. President Abraham Lincoln did. And, Clement Vallandigham found Lincoln meant it, the hard way.
That was a long time ago, though, back when America had this silly notion to support her troops. We don’t teach those outdated insensitive ideals like that in our schools anymore. Thank God for people like William Ayers and Dr. Khalid al-Mansour teaching in our colleges, and giving our students the gift of their anti-America rhetoric and responsibility-free base in what they call free thought. And, still get to live here, and enjoy all of the freedoms that America gives them.

EchoCharlie: Congratulations! Your use of that bogus Lincoln quotation has spawned a new post that includes a link to your comment. See here: http://blogs.e-rockford.com/applesauce/2008/10/29/phony-lincoln-quote-refuses-to-die/

touche’. I stand corrected on a misquote. I indeed did not know it was false. However, the facts about Clement Vallandigham stand, as does the rest of my comment.
I think Madeline Albright carries little weight with most Americans, and, I think Colin Powell’s sudden “awakening” is suspicious. Many think it is a vie for a cabinet seat, after no offer, seemingly, had been made by McCain. Also, it could be, not saying is, could be racially related.

First, I will take the opinion of a retired 4-star general over E4C any day with regard to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan or any place else. Second, a few people I work with have served in Iraq, either in the military or with contractors. They are far from unanimous on our success in Iraq. Just the same as Vietnam vets I know are divided on our mission in Vietnam.
Is John McCain ready? Has McCain ever had any real leadership position or was he always just one of the group? Groups like carrier pilots or Senators. E$C has the right to voice his opinion. But it’s just that, an opinion. And it carries no more weight than anyone else’s.
