Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

The favorability ratings for Barack Obama and George W. Bush in the latest GALLUP POLL are nearly exact opposites.

UPDATE: A new CBS poll SHOWS that 71 percent of Americans are optimistic about the next four years.

Gee this is shocking news! Wait until people realize he can do nothing to “change” the economy. Lets just see his rating in a year or two!

Pat should be proud. This is about the only political forum i watch anymore. And probably the only reason is i can be heard here and possibly help him. The TV pundants, who used to be somewhat real, and unbiased, journalists have gone overboard permanently. The “American Idol ” candidate has lots of followers and he has done a brilliant job selling the “easy life” by living off the real producers in this country. The same media is talking about “racial healing” and how folks that have been oppressed the last 150 years of their life, or whatever, are now empowered and entitled. How dare you think i am suppose to support you!

Bush still has some time to go even lower.

If people think that just because Obama graduated with honors from Harvard Law and can actually think means he will be a better president that Bush, well…actually you make a good point, never mind. .

of course, hard core republicans dislike almost everybody and everything….in another thread, someone asked “where does this paranoia come from?” The answer is, it is inbred in the stingy, selfish, narcissistic conservative movement that is all about “mine”, as in “I got mine and you ain’t gonna get any of it.” Ridiculously, most have been duped because the GOP only protects “yours” if you got a lot…as in millions…the republican voters who make joe the plumber wages have been fooled with code words and their prejudices and hatred of gays and minorities have been exploited. How did that work out for them?

I came across a quotation that seem quite appropriate in this situation.

The curse of me and my nation is that we always think things can be bettered by immediate action of some sort, any sort rather than no sort.-Plato

    Repub4Jesus:

That was one of the best laughs I’ve had in a while, thanks. Kinda reminds me of the elitism bit on the Daily Show back in May, which was hilarious.
