The gullibility of Obamaphobes is endless
December 2nd, 2008 at 08:31pm Pat Cunningham
The ragtag collection of racists, conspiratorialists and knuckledraggers who have fallen victim to the political disease known as Obamaphobia have become even more pathetic over the four weeks since the object of their hatred somehow got himself elected president in an electoral landslide.
The latest manifestation of amentia among these afflicted folk arose just yesterday when one of their favorite sources of misinformation, the Drudge Report, picked up on a story from a British tabloid to the effect that Obama had ordered a $30,000 diamond ring for his wife Michelle.
The story turned out to be untrue, but not before Drudge gave it a big headline, thereby touching off a firestorm of reaction from countless knuckledraggers in the right-wing blogosphere. The gist of their dudgeon, of course, was that this arrogant colored man with his fancy-pants Ivy League degrees and his slick oratory was acting uppity again by buying some ostentatious bling-bling for the missus at a price that most ordinary, everyday, hard-working, God-fearing Caucasian Americans could never afford.
Even liberal MSNBC, the bane of conservatives for its alleged bias in favor of Obama, got the story wrong.
Read more about this matter HERE and HERE and HEREÂ (vulgarity warning).

Is that the newest claim?
Usually it’s
1) Obama can’t get seucrity clearance because of his relationship with Bill Ayers.
2) Obama isn’t really an American citizen and he is covering up his real birth certificate.
3) Obama isn’t really a Christian, he is actually a Muslim, because after all, his middle name is Hussein.
4) Obama paid for his college tuition in mysterious ways.
5) Bill Ayers really wrote Obama’s books.
Of course, all of these are corrected on http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/obama.asp

Isn’t it interesting that this guy is ranting and raving about how the right is hateful and racist at the same time spewing nothing but hate and racism. Maybe this newspaper should require this guy pass a Breathalyzer test before they let him vent. I can only guess that someone that so blatantly calls the kettle black is either drunk or stupid. Pat, only you know for sure which category you fall in.

David,
Your comment is full of name calling but short on specifics. Where is the racism in what Pat wrote? In which sentences do you detect incoherency or stupidity? Without such specifics your comment is basically, ‘Well, oh yeah!”
Apparently you feel attacked by what Pat wrote. That is not something I would willingly reveal in public.

David Johnson: Several things: 1) What did I say that was racist? Where did I accuse all right-wingers of racism? You should take a remedial reading course. 2) What makes you think I drink? My consumption of alcohol amounts to about 12 beers a year. I’ll thank you not to imply otherwise.

wow this gets pretty mean! 12 beers a year? now thats getting down to a science. Is that what you have or all your allowed to have?
I’m sorry the war monger McCain did not get in.That is not a good enough excuse to call Pat Cunningham an alcoholic. Lets TRY to stand behind our new president and become a United Nation.
Filled with hope,peace and prosperity.
