Will Blagogate hurt Obama?

Barring any unforeseen disclosures, I think Barack Obama will suffer only mild, short-term political damage from the Rod Blagojevich scandal — nothing of lasting significance.
Obama, whose innocence in the Blago matter has been emphasized by federal prosecutors, moves into the Oval Office next month, and there are plenty of other pressing matters that will command public attention.
For now, however, we’ve got angles about Obama and the scandal HERE and HERE and HERE.

Getting caught in a scandal is a resume enhancer for Democrat’s. The old media will look the other way.

Michael Jessen wants us to know that the “old media” are looking the other way with respect to Blagogate. Yeah, there hasn’t been a word about it in the papers or on TV. What a keen observer Michael is.

I think this story has some legs and I also believe that Obama will be hurt by it, although probably not seriously.
The MSM has finally developed an interest (it was minimal at best during the election) in the cesspool that is Chicago/Illinois politics. Obama cut his teeth in that environment but somehow the Messiah narrative won out with the MSM. They are now, perhaps, performing the due diligence that they choose to forego during the campaign.Remember the old saying about lying down with dogs. You are probably going to get a few fleas.
